Choose which emails you receive

You choose which emails KonversAI sends you on the My settings screen in the KonversAI console, under In this workspace → Notifications. The section is a grid, and email is the Email column on the right. Tick or untick the box where the column meets each reason: Waiting for a reply, Needs attention, Daily attention digest, Weekly summary and Usage warnings. You cannot untick Account and security, because you need that email to keep your access. Every email you can switch off also carries an unsubscribe link and a link back to this grid.

Every Tenant Admin and Tenant Operator chooses their own emails. You change only your own. Whether the workspace sends a Weekly summary at all is a separate setting that a Tenant Admin controls for everybody.

Sign in to the KonversAI console and open the workspace whose emails you want to change. These choices are per workspace, so repeat them in each workspace you staff. If you staff three workspaces, you have three sets of email choices, and unticking Weekly summary in one leaves the others sending it.

Open My settings from the avatar in the top right of the console, select the In this workspace tab, and find the Notifications section. Read down the left column for the reasons and across the top for the channels. Email is the fourth column.

  1. Open My settings, select In this workspace, and find Notifications.
  2. In the Email column, untick Waiting for a reply, Needs attention, or both. KonversAI stops emailing you about whichever you untick.
  3. The two are separate boxes, so you can keep email for the conversations that need a person and drop it for the ones merely waiting.
  4. Your Chime, Browser and Push choices are separate columns and keep working. See Get notified about conversations to change those.
  1. Open My settings, select In this workspace, and find Notifications.
  2. In the Email column, untick Daily attention digest. KonversAI stops sending you the morning list of open conversations that need a person.
  3. This row shows a dash under Chime, Browser and Push, because KonversAI sends the digest by email only.
  1. Open My settings, select In this workspace, and find Notifications.
  2. In the Email column, untick Weekly summary. KonversAI stops sending you the summary for this workspace.
  3. If the section shows This workspace does not send the weekly summary. An admin can turn it on under workspace settings., nobody in this workspace is receiving it, whatever your own box says.
  1. Open My settings, select In this workspace, and find Notifications.
  2. In the Email column, untick Usage warnings. KonversAI stops emailing you when this workspace is using its plan faster than expected.
  3. Only Tenant Admins receive usage warnings, so this box does nothing for a Tenant Operator.
  4. Your invoices are not affected. They come from the accounting service that issues them, not from these settings.

Unsubscribe from an email you have received

Section titled “Unsubscribe from an email you have received”
  1. Open the KonversAI email and select the unsubscribe link at the bottom.
  2. Confirm on the page that opens. You do not need to sign in.
  3. The link unticks the same box as the Email column, for the workspace and the reason that message came from. It does not touch your other workspaces or your other email choices.
  4. To start receiving that email again, tick the box in My settings → In this workspace → Notifications. An unsubscribe link can only switch an email off.
  1. Open any KonversAI email you can switch off.
  2. At the bottom, beside the unsubscribe link, select the link to your notification settings.
  3. The link opens My settings → In this workspace → Notifications for the workspace that sent the email, scrolled to the grid.
  4. Use this link rather than the unsubscribe link when you want the email on a different channel instead of switched off, or when you want it back.

Account and security. The row appears in the grid with the Email box ticked and locked, and it covers workspace invitations and changes to your access. KonversAI cannot let you switch these off, because an invitation is how you get into a workspace and you would have no way back in without it.

Why is there no setting for invoices, when there is one for usage warnings?

Section titled “Why is there no setting for invoices, when there is one for usage warnings?”

The two come from different places. KonversAI generates a Usage warning and sends it, so you can untick it in the Email column under My settings → In this workspace → Notifications. Your invoices come from the accounting service that issues them, sent straight to the billing address on the workspace, so they never pass through the settings on this screen and a checkbox here could not stop one. A Tenant Admin changes the billing address in the workspace’s billing settings.

What is the difference between conversation alerts and the daily attention digest?

Section titled “What is the difference between conversation alerts and the daily attention digest?”

Conversation alerts arrive one at a time. KonversAI sends one when a single conversation has gone unanswered and nobody has picked it up; they are the Waiting for a reply and Needs attention rows in the Email column. The Daily attention digest arrives once each morning and lists every open conversation that needs a person, with the reason for each. Tick the digest if you want one email a day; tick the two conversation rows if you want to hear about each one as it happens. All are in My settings → In this workspace → Notifications.

I unticked the weekly summary but I still get one. Why?

Section titled “I unticked the weekly summary but I still get one. Why?”

Check that you unticked it in the right workspace. These choices are per workspace, and a summary from another workspace you staff looks the same in your inbox. The workspace name is in the subject line of the email. Open My settings → In this workspace → Notifications in that workspace and untick Weekly summary in the Email column there. The link at the bottom of the email opens the settings for the workspace that sent it.

Does unticking an email also turn off my chime and push notifications?

Section titled “Does unticking an email also turn off my chime and push notifications?”

No. The Email column covers email only. Chime, Browser and Push are three separate columns in the same grid, each with its own boxes. See Get notified about conversations.

Why did I get a conversation alert email when I was at my desk?

Section titled “Why did I get a conversation alert email when I was at my desk?”

You most likely have Send notifications even while I am active in the browser ticked, below the grid. That setting covers email as well as push notifications: with it on, KonversAI alerts you whether or not you are active in the browser. Untick it if you only want alerts when you are away. KonversAI treats you as active in the browser when the console tab is open, visible, and you have used the keyboard or mouse recently.

Will unsubscribing from one email stop all of them?

Section titled “Will unsubscribing from one email stop all of them?”

No. An unsubscribe link switches off the one reason it came from, in the one workspace that sent it. A Weekly summary link does not stop a Waiting for a reply alert, and neither stops Account and security email. An alert about a conversation that was both waiting and needing attention switches off both conversation rows, because that is what the message covered. To turn several off at once, use the Email column in My settings → In this workspace → Notifications.
