Microsoft sign-in for chat widgets
Chat entry points can now require visitors to sign in with Microsoft (Entra ID) before the conversation starts, alongside the existing email options.
Under Settings → Entry points → Chat, set Visitor verification to Microsoft (OIDC) and enter your Azure app’s tenant ID, client ID, and client secret. Copy the shown redirect URI into the Azure app registration — it is fixed for your environment and cannot be edited in the form.
Add each site that embeds the chat under Websites the widget runs on; visitors are only sent back to those pages after signing in. To give the conversation a verified email, add the email and xms_edov optional claims to the app registration’s ID token.
